miracle on peel Island

a couple of weeks ago I prayed in the morning for Angelic host to protect me as I was going out on a boat that afternoon, I went on a cruise to Peel island,it is about 1 and half hours out in Moreton Bay,we arrived on the island and the skipper of the catamaran had said not to go too far as a big storm was approaching,I left my friend swimming and went for a bush walk. I didn't think I had walked far,but I had taken a wrong track and ended up at the next cove, and also I had sprained my ankle trying to get down to the cove. I had been praying for Jesus to help me as I didn't know how I was going to get back to the right beach and I was remembering the warning about the storm.
I walked out onto the beach and met a man camping there with his children,I asked him the way back and explained that I was lost, nice man that he was, offered to take me back to my beach in his boat.
I arrived back just in time as my friend was worried and they had been shouting out my name and were planning to go and look for me,they were so shocked to see me arrive back via the water and not the beach, they called out,it is Gerrie she looks like the queen standing there in that boat, henceforth, they kept referring to me as Queen Gerrie.
I arrived back on the catamaran and looked on my phone at the weather radar, the storm looked bad,the skipper had left the island early to start back, the sky was black, and on the radar I could see it heading straight for us.I had recently read a book where a lady and her husband took authority over the weather went they went on holidays,it  was raining when they left but didn't rain the whole time they were away and started again only when they arrived back.
I didn't fancy being stuck out on a boat in a bad storm ,so I told the storm to go and peace be still,I did this quietly. I watched the storm split and we had only very light sprinkles of rain,no wind and when we arrived back at the dock, there was a beautiful sunset and the waters were so still and peaceful.

Have we forgotten the master of the house

Have we forgotten the Master of the house?
If a person stood on a corner and handed out the keys to your house to people you did not know and the people then came and entered into your house and started using your stuff without even getting to know you, you would not be very happy would you? Even worse would be if these people broke into your house and started using your stuff and ignored you.
Strangely enough this is exactly what is happening in the church of Australia today.
The people are those who are coming to the church or believe they are part of the church.
The keys to the house is Salvation in Christ Jesus. Please don’t get me wrong as you read this. Salvation in Christ Jesus is one of the most important pillars of the church and I would never lower its value.
The people who broke into the house are those that believe they can get into heaven without acknowledging Christ.
Another way of saying this is the church of Australia has become like a bride that goes to her wedding without knowing the groom and then never gets to know the groom.
We treat going to church and getting salvation as being the destination when in fact it is just the doorway. We need to understand why Christ came. Christ came to remove the barrier of sin between mankind and God and restore all things. Because of Christ we have the opportunity to have the same relationship with God that Adam had. This will surprise many but there are now no barriers between us and God yet we get salvation, go to church and then go no further. We sing the songs, listen to the sermons but we have little relationship with God.
So what is my evidence of this.
If a person spends a lot of time with another person both people pick up character traits from one another (Good and Bad). If one of the individuals is zealous for something, the other person can pick up the zeal also. Even their language changes and they start using similar words. The church is not transforming to be like God but is in fact transforming to become like the rest of the world.
The church of Australia is not zealous for the things of God. They might be zealous for the Sunday service but this is not the same. A person who is zealous for God wants to be obedient to God and spend as much time as physically possible with God. Obedience is not displayed in the church of Australia because the church is doing the same things that the rest of the world is doing. In fact, some churches are zealous for sin. The church does not spend time with God in prayer. The bible says that we should pray without ceasing. That means that we should be able to be in prayer with God anywhere and at any time.
Another sign we do not know our God is in our dealings with the enemy. We see so many Goliaths in our nation that stand and mock us and our God. We sit and tremble and say what can we do, it is too hard to deal with this yet it is in prayer that these Goliaths are slain.
Mathew 7:21-23 states “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
When the church of Australia begins to pray we will begin the path to revival. It is in prayer that we will get to know our God. It is in prayer that God will open the cupboards that are locked so we have the tools we need. It is in prayer that we will deal with our sin and righteousness will flood those who are in Christ.
After all who would want to spend eternity with someone who won’t talk to them. Let us start praying today and forevermore. Let us get to know our Father that is in heaven so that we know how to talk with him while we are in His house and also how to talk with Him in heaven.

Slough of Despond

Slough of Despond, deep bog into which Christian falls on the way from the City of Destruction and from which Help saves him in the allegory Pilgrim's Progress (1678) by John Bunyan
I had a dream two days ago,in which these words came to me Slough of despond or sloth of despond.  I thought of the story of Pilgrims Progress.
In the dream I was on a journey,at one point I was doing fine even running ahead then darkness began to fall, and as it grew darker I began to have difficulties identifying the right way to take, things became indistinct, and I ended up on a path that was a dead end. I had to turn around, the path was very narrow and very high up.sheer drops on either side,it was terrifyingly high
strangely there was a house on the side and I could see through the windows  a lady,I knocked on the door and she called out that her husband would come and help me.I had the feeling this happened often.
The man came to the door to help me,he recognised me and asked  why have you come this way again?
I told him because of my fear and terror I had to sit down and close my eyes,he understood.
I had the sense, despite my terror that he would help me and that  I would be able to continue my journey. I still had a long way to go.
my interpretation was that this could apply on many levels, as we pray for Nations,The Church,Individuals and in my own life.
have we let fear cause us to go into a sloth of despond and so stop us from continuing on our journey ,our calling ?,
as a nation are we looking  at fear and terror and closing our eyes ,as I did in the dream, lets sit and grow still when terror strikes other nations.
The Church ,are we not raising our voices, closing our eyes because we are afraid? hope the rapture comes,it is dark and we are finding it  hard to distinguish the path, our journey is long,it is growing harder to distinguish The  Way.
in the dream I knew help was at hand ,even in a very tight spot.
so should we be praying for help for those who are  lost, or having a hard time taking the right path?
those who are fearful and bogged down in the slough of despond? or the sloth of despond because we do nothing when afraid,
we have been that way before, why do we need to go back there?

The leaders of The Church

I have had two dreams lately which relate to leaders,in both cases they were drivers of a vehicle. They both contained people sleeping and resting or pretending to sleep.
In the first  I was with family and my father was driving a car,I was in the back of the car and my sister in the front seat.
He needed to close his eyes to rest  while still driving,I was watching from the back seat, saying stop or beware etc
I told my sister to be on alert, she seemed to be unaware of the danger we were in.we were driving through tunnels that ran alongside railway tunnels,it would be very easy to make a mistake and drive headlong into a train in the wrong tunnel.
my thoughts on this dream : there  are leaders who are tired or exhausted they need to share the responsibility of care for the family,we  need to keep watch on them and be alert to danger.
in the second dream the driver was driving like a madman,he had an agenda, the people he was responsible for in the van we were driving in were in the back pretending to be alseep, they were afraid for their lives.
he took great risks. when we arrived at our destination he asked them what they thought of the trip, but he wasn't interested in what they had to say,his attention was taken by some visitors who arrived whom he considered more important.
my interpretation of this is,that this leader is risking not only his life but the lives of those he is supposed to be caring for, trying to impress those he thinks are more important than the flock he is meant to shepherd.
we should  be praying for both, for the leader in the first dream and the people in the second ,that they wake up,speak up and be in a place of safety.
be alert,keep awake ,be watchful

We are running out of time; Build and Plant

two dreams
in the beginning of the year I believe I heard these words for this year, Build and Plant
as in Jeremiah 1.10 I have set you over nations  to root out pull down destroy to build and plant.
I then had two dreams,in both I was running out of time to accomplish a task or get somewhere, some people were hindering me,others trying to help, and I couldn't get the attention of the right people to help, they were distracted, and it was very difficult to get them to hear,it was as though thy were behind glass.I was pleading with them to help, then  I watched as the realization came on one woman's  face, as she saw how late it is.
In my second dream, Jewish people had hidden my sandal  from me,I couldn't walk properly or proceed until I found it.  I felt it unfair, why me? they said it is too late to build a house,I was trying to put up a tent. the tent was a display not a real house.Time was running out the weather was changing, would there be enough time? I didn't want to offend the Jewish people by putting up the tent,so i intended to just drape it over a  tree branch. when I remembered my covenant or covenant rights,I found my sandal and could proceed.
I think the message is, people are caught up in business and  distraction, pray the right people with the right gifts and expertise, can hear and take action to build the house. the house is made up of Jews and gentiles
we have covenant, you shall be saved and your house, pray and stand on this.
update;
I had this dream in NZ two years ago while on holiday,I now know that loosing a sandal means treaty, the treaty with NZ and  Israel was broken at Christmas time last year when NZ moved against Israel at the United  nations, The Jewish people have been offended.....it is too late to build a house,if things stay as they are,if NZ remembers their historical covenant with Israel,or has the wisdom and help to do it,they can proceed and the protection of the tent will be theirs.

Time to prepare

I just recently completed a holiday in New Zealand.
A wise teacher once told a story to me. It probably wasn’t his but it was good all the same.
If you place a frog in hot water it will jump straight out. If you place the frog in cold water and slowly heat it up the frog will not leave the water and will cook itself.
I am from New Zealand but do not live there now. I first became a Christian about thirty seven years ago. Seven years after this event I lived in Christchurch. Things were happening in the church. We were all very excited about the future of the church and expected great things of God. A short time later I left Christchurch and started on my journey which led me to Australia. Since that time I have returned to New Zealand multiple times. Each time I returned I noticed that the country was far less moral but did not think much of this as this was happening everywhere. What has shocked me on my last trip was how spiritually dry New Zealand felt. I had no revelation at all on this trip. It wasn’t until I returned that God started showing me things again.
God showed me the mountains that I saw in New Zealand and reminded me of the parable of the sower. On the top of the mountains nothing grew. On the lower edges some very hardy plants grew but little fruit bearing plants could survive. As I arrived on Canterbury plans it was very green and all manner of things grew there. In amongst this were places where gorse and thistle grew where not much else could grow. This was so much like the parable. Then God showed me a new gardening technique. This was hydroponics. In hydroponics, plants have no soil but are feed everything down a long pipe. Water and nutrients are constantly being supplied down the pipe but there is no soil and in some cases, the hydroponics is grown inside. God showed me that this was where the church is at and why it is so spiritually dry.
The people of God have been pulled out of the soil and placed in something that is very much like a hydroponic garden. They have no direct relationship with God. They receive all the spiritual food they need from their leaders and in some places they get their spiritual food from the music that they also worship. All appears fine but they do not know where the spiritual food is coming from. They cannot tell if they are being poisoned or not because they have no relationship with God. Many cannot even pray or do not read or understand God’s word. Some leaders are not even giving much relevance to God’s word. In many churches the worship of God has been replaced by the worship of music. Don’t get me wrong, I like good music, but I am against usurping God by thinking that I am worshipping him when in fact I am worshipping the music. There is little spurring one another on in faith. Righteousness has been forgotten and there is as much sin in the church as there is in the world. Marriage is not honoured in the church.
So why isn’t the church on their knees and repenting? I cannot understand this, especially with what I see in Australia on the news. We have had our hearts hardened. We should be weeping but instead we attend celebration services each Sunday. Do not think that this can go on. I can already see the signs of persecution coming and in some places it has already arrived. The church will be chipped at until all the dead wood has been removed. Remember the parable of the vine. We are grafted in at the expense of God’s chosen people. Do not think that he will not cut us off too if we do not bear fruit.
There is still time for us, but we must act now. It cannot go on much longer.
As for the wickedness of our nations, this will all end badly. History shows that when wickedness reaches its fullness God acts. A member of parliament stated that the sky will not fall down. I tell you that the sky will fall down. It will come down in natural disasters and I see these coming very soon. Do not be afraid of these things. This is a natural part of what happens as wickedness grows. Be more concerned with keeping a right relationship with God. Even if my body is taken from me, my spirit will live and God will raise me up in the last days.

God bless

Is it time to grow up?

Thirty years ago I was working with a couple of pastors who had a simple, yet radical thought. They conclude that there is only one church. They decided that it was time to put aside this identification with denominations and place our allegiance with Christ first. This may seem obvious to some but it was not being played out in the church. They were divided, jealous of one another, competed against one another and focused on how great their denominational beliefs were.
Thirty years later I am saddened to note that nothing has changed. Are we still infants?
1 Corinthians 3:1-5 states “Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly--mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? 4 For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men? 5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe--as the Lord has assigned to each his task”.  Today Paul and Apolos represent the denominational beliefs or the individuals that we follow.
So why is it so important to grow up? One thing to note is a child is easily deceived by those which have the appearance of being more mature. Today there is so much error in the church. For example:
·       Love without correction – This is really hate because the person giving the love does not care enough to correct so that you can become the righteous person you need to be.
·       Grace without the law – It is impossible to have grace without something to be forgiven yet those things considered wrong are becoming less and less.
·       God being our servant – We are called to be God’s obedient servants, not the other way around.
·       Leadership without humility – The VIPs in our church are an embarrassment to me. We all need to walk in humility, not seeking titles and position, but humbly following Christ and serving one another.
When we Follow Christ and when we grow up we will not be deceived. A mature person in Christ does not consult a mere man about what is right and what is wrong. He seeks God first and studies God’s word. When a person sees error the person does not follow it, but walks in the opposite direction.
We have a chose. Do we continue being infants and blindly follow those in leadership or do we follow Christ, study God’s word and become mature.
When we discover that Christ is greater and that His way is better, then we will be able to shine a light into the darkness and transform our country. It is only through Christ that the church will be lifted up. If we do not grow up we will be robbed of our birth right by both our leadership and by the world. Greatness is there for young and old. We can transform our communities once we discover that God has invested a great deal in us and can do a great thing through us.
